Open Thread: Good Reads

It’s a slow news day here in the Palmetto State — not a lot going on. However, I’ve stumbled across a few good reads today:

The Governor still refuses to visit, but at least someone cares about Ty'Sheoma’s school – enough to donate $250,000 in new desks and equipment.
Our friend Deacon Tim does an excellent job exposing the unfairness of the “Fair Tax” being touted by SC Congressional wannabe Rex Rice.
Earl Capps questions the ethics behind Adam Fogle’s new anonymous interest group, SCTA.
Jim DeMint is still carrying on about his big “tent of freedom” in the WSJ.
Another Republican, Mauldin businessman Jim Lee, has thrown his hat in the ring to challenge The Bob for the SC-04 seat.
The State has a run-down on the stalled efforts to bring early voting to SC.
