Open Thread: Good Reads
Posted on 04. May, 2009 by Jennifer Read in SC Politics

It’s a slow news day here in the Palmetto State — not a lot going on. However, I’ve stumbled across a few good reads today:
- The Governor still refuses to visit, but at least someone cares about Ty'Sheoma’s school – enough to donate $250,000 in new desks and equipment.
- Our friend Deacon Tim does an excellent job exposing the unfairness of the “Fair Tax” being touted by SC Congressional wannabe Rex Rice.
- Earl Capps questions the ethics behind Adam Fogle’s new anonymous interest group, SCTA.
- Jim DeMint is still carrying on about his big “tent of freedom” in the WSJ.
- Another Republican, Mauldin businessman Jim Lee, has thrown his hat in the ring to challenge The Bob for the SC-04 seat.
- The State has a run-down on the stalled efforts to bring early voting to SC.
Hope everyone is having a good Monday. We’ll leave this thread up for, well, whatever’s on your minds today. Have at it.
