    Mullins McLeod Inspires Progressive Democrats

Mullins McLeod inspired the crowd at the Northeast Democrats' September Breakfast this morning. He's running a progressive campaign, and he's running to win.

He's a former chairman of the Charleston County Democratic Party. His hard work and inspiring leadership helped turn Charleston County from red to blue.

Mullins intends to campaign in every county in South Carolina. And to turn South Carolina from red to blue.

Mullins also attended the Labor Day Picnic in Charleston sponosred by the Longshoreman's Union.  He argued he was the most progressive Democrat running.  (I'm not sure what Robert Ford is now.)  He spoke to the crowd at the picnic, got some local press and worked the picnic tables for a while.  We were glad to have him there since we had tents both for Organizing for America (working on Healthcare Reform) and the County Democratic Party (Local and State issues, a little healthcare).

It was clear having candidates and elected officials present really enhances our outreach efforts.  No matter how good we are with our clipboards, the candidates and officials remain our stars.

We have a big outreach effort planned for Charleston Peace One Day this coming Sunday, Sept. 20.  I need a candidate or elected official for each hour 1 pm to 6 to help greet visitors to the tent.

Candidates and Officials seeking reelection, don't expect the party to be ready to help you next year unless you help us build it now.  We can't send what we don't have.
