    Hey, (0.00 / 0)
Where are you getting the state numbers if the official site is still blank?

    AP also compiling results (0.00 / 0)
Charleston Post and Courier has AP results: http://charleston.net/

    MSNBC... (0.00 / 0)
    just projected SC for McCain.

    ABC News (0.00 / 0)
has also apparently projected McCain in SC.

    [ Parent ]
    And now CNN (0.00 / 0)
is on board with McCain in SC.

    I hate to promote Fox News, (0.00 / 0)
but their map seems ahead of the others on the numbers. Very cool graphics on the breakdown by county.  Here it is.

    TK is nervous (0.00 / 0)
Getting ready to head to the Democratic Party event...can't get any results on Congress yet.

Is a small world, but I wouldn't want to paint it.

    Ketner has early lead, (0.00 / 0)
but no official results yet. Miller also leads Wilson with only 3% reporting.

    Leave it to SC.... (0.00 / 0)
White evangelicals voted for McCain in larger margins in South Carolina than they did for Bush, according to CNN. That's staggering to me: what this election may be doing is intensifying the religious and racial identity of the GOP. This is Rove's legacy. It is the destruction of the Republican party as a national force.

    Andrew Sullivan

    Chuck Todd (0.00 / 0)
is making me a little nervous.

Yep, so far states falling like 04 (0.00 / 0)
Obama needs a big flip. Luckily, McCain has no room for error. If loses VA, will be tough to come back from.

    So far, (0.00 / 0)
the Miller and Ketner numbers are disappointing.

    Yeah, though Charleston numbers (0.00 / 0)
not in yet for Ketner. As expected, Brown cleaning up in Grand Strand area. Ketner needs big numbers in Peninsula area. All totals delayed due to late voting.

Mood at Democratic Party event.. (0.00 / 0)
..is pretty festive, largely owing to Obama's national showing.  We're sort of in a bubble here for everything else, so it's hard to know what's happening with state and local races.

Is a small world, but I wouldn't want to paint it.

    Congressman Clyburn (0.00 / 0)
Is speaking now, reminding everyone of the role South Carolina played in propelling Obama to what looks like a historic win.

Is a small world, but I wouldn't want to paint it.

Few Democrats to vote for on the Greenville ballot (0.00 / 0)
Looks like we're closing the gap in SC, but there's a lot of work ahead of us. On the Greenville ballot, I was shocked at how many Republicans ran unopposed for local Upstate offices. Until the last few months, it's seemed like only a Bible-thumping deep red Republican had a prayer [sorry] in any Upstate contest.

I'm thinking the Dole implosion and tightening numbers statewide will encourage future Dem challengers. I'm certainly energized to get more involved in the local races.

Similar scarcity of Dems in Lowcountry (0.00 / 0)
down-ballot races. No Dems below statewide races on my ballot. Let's hope SCDP takes opportunity to start building up a strong pool of local candidates to develop into powerhouse state and fed candidates in the future.

Perspective: "Fringe elements on the coasts" voting Democratic (0.00 / 0)

Thanks to Paul Krugman for linking to this Electoral College Map from the Princeton Election Consortium . Gives a better representation of population, rather than square miles per state.
