Where, you may ask, are the Iranians standing up to government repression drawing their inspiration?

Ladies and gentlemen, we need look no further than the brave patriots standing up to the oppressive regime right here in America - the teabaggers.

This is so amazingly stupid I wouldn't know where to begin.  Also, I have noticed a growing trend bubbling up among the "conservative" GOP members which reeks of victimhood.  To compare the pligh of teabaggers living in the greatest nation on earth, and arguably the far and way most free society on the planet, with those living in Iran bends reality so far as to just be jaw dropping.

The GOP ought to grasp that their manipulations gave us the current IRAN and their crude applications of force around the world alienated so many people we're no longer in any position to exert positive influence there on the ground.

I find the courage of the Iranian people impressive, but I'm not going to judge it or become their cheerleader.  They're facing bullets and baseball bats.  It's their decision.  I wish them wall and a safe return to their families at days end.  I want everyone to be free, but it is a personal decision to die for it.  I will not borrow their courage as some cheap way to make myself feel good.

Everyone on the street over there has a child, mother, father or spouse.  It really hurts when they're injured.  There is real loss when they die.  It isn't a movie or a video game.

I wonder what we should have done after the election in 2000, which set so many things so wrong.
