    Progressive Film Goers Survey

    Balloting to select the films for our early August Progressive Dinner and a Movie in N. Charleston has already begun.  The more people who vote, Obama Health Care Imagethe better this will work.  Please consider these options and take a look at the previews and other materials available through the links.  Then click the link at the bottom of this post to go to the Survey Monkey to vote.  All the films are linked to the healthcare issue.

    Half the net proceeds will go to the Charleston County Democratic Party.

    Lowcountry Progressives and Democrats invite Voting on Film for Movie Night

    Lowcountry residents interested in progressive and Democratic films can vote online to help select the films to be shown at a progressive Dinner and a Movie night planned for early August in N. Charleston. Voting began June 22nd. The films focus on the national issue of health care. The ballot includes King Corn, a documentary on the impact of the government subsidized corn industry; Damaged Care, a satirical musical on health care issues; Donka: X-Ray of an African Hospital and I am Somebody, a recently digitally premastered historic documentary about the Charleston Hospital Strike during the Civil Rights movement. 16 films are on the ballot.
